MEDICARE ANNUAL ENROLLMENT FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Do I need certain technology to do the questionnaires?

A: As long as you have internet access, you can complete them on your desktop, laptop, smart phone, tablet, have your kids or grandkids help, on the beach, in the mountains, on the lake, anywhere! All you need is internet access (if you're reading this email, you have the technology. If you're doing it on the beach, in the mountains, or on the lake, first of all—we're jealous! But, just know that data usage applies)

Q: When is the deadline?

A: Medicare AEP has a deadline of December 7th. In order to have time to have a review, you must complete the questionnaire by Nov 14th.  Your meeting w/ Mark can take place after Nov 14th, but the questionnaire must be done by Nov. 14th.

Q: I have a Medicare Supplement with Mark, is this the time to discuss that?

A: Mark is happy to discuss anything you have concerns about anytime, but "Medicare Annual Period Period" is only for Medicare Part D Drug Plans & Medicare Part C Advantage Plans. Medicare Supplements are entirely different and run on their own timetable.

Q: Who do these questionnaires go to / who is reviewing my information I provide on the questionnaire?

A: Just our team here at Cornerstone Advisors, LLC. They just come to our office. They are NOT submitted to Medicare or anyone else.

Q: If I fill out the questionnaire, am I obligated to change anything?

A: Absolutely not. See the answer to the question below.

Q: What if I'm just too overwhelmed by everything going on and I don't do anything?

A: Your current Part D or Part C will automatically continue next year if you take no action. You are not obligated to take any action, just know that whatever was the most cost efficient for this year may not be the most cost Efficient for next year, as insurance companies can change their coverage each year.

Q: I completed my questionnaire and then my doctor changed a Rx on me, but I haven't had my meeting with Mark yet. What should I do?

A: Email Megan at Megan@advisorstl.comwith the updated med and she'll make the change (don't edit from the confirmation email, please)

Q: I have a question or am having a problem with the questionnaire, what should I do?

A: Give us a call!! We are HERE and we'd love to hear from you!
